Inside GHD Pet: A Vietnam-Based Manufacturing Partner for Global Pet Brands

For pet brands and retailers across the United States and Europe, finding a manufacturing partner who understands both product safety and market speed isn’t easy. At GHD Pet, we’ve spent more than 30 years solving exactly that problem — combining multi-material expertise, strict quality control, and full-service OEM/ODM support under one roof.

Here’s a look at what makes our factories, our process, and our team the right fit for brands that can’t afford to compromise on quality.

Three Materials, One Factory

Most pet product manufacturers specialize in a single material. GHD Pet doesn’t. Our facilities produce silicone, rubber and plastic pet products side by side, which means a single brand can source an entire product line — from silicone feeding mats to rubber bath products to injection-molded accessories — without juggling multiple suppliers, lead times, or quality standards.

This multi-material capability is backed by real infrastructure: two production bases in Vietnam (Hai Phong and Hung Yen), over 30,000 m² of factory floor, 100+ advanced machines, and a workforce of 400+ skilled technicians producing approximately 40,000 tons of product every year.

Built for the US and European Market

Pet owners in the US and Europe treat their pets as family — and their buying decisions reflect it. They expect food-grade, BPA-free, non-toxic materials, transparent sourcing, and products that hold up to daily chewing, cleaning and use.

That’s why every material entering our factories is traceable, and every finished product is manufactured to meet international compliance requirements, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, RoHS, REACH, FDA and LFGB standards. Our factories are also independently audited under BSCI and SMETA, and we’ve met the specific quality programs required by major retailers, including Walmart FCCA and Target QAFA.

That track record is why global names like Walmart, Target, Home Depot, Lowe’s, Dollar General, Kohl’s and CVS have trusted us as a manufacturing partner.

Quality Control at Every Stage

We don’t treat quality control as a final checkpoint — it’s built into every stage of production:

  • Incoming Material Inspection — Materials are checked before they ever enter production.
  • In-Process Quality Control — Production is monitored continuously, not just spot-checked.
  • Final Inspection — Finished products are inspected against the agreed specification sheet.
  • Packaging Inspection — Products and packaging are verified before shipment leaves our facility.

This four-stage system, run through our in-house chemical, physical and application-condition testing labs, is what lets us guarantee consistency across large production runs — not just on the first batch, but on the hundredth.

OEM, ODM, or Somewhere In Between

Not every brand starts a project the same way, so we built our process to be flexible:

  • OEM — You bring the product. We manufacture it, exactly to spec.
  • ODM — You bring the market need. Our team helps develop the product from concept.
  • Custom Manufacturing — Materials, colors, shapes, sizes, textures, packaging and branding can all be tailored to your brand.

From tooling and 3D prototyping through mass production, our engineering team works to shorten time-to-market without cutting corners on durability or safety — because a faster launch only matters if the product performs once it’s on the shelf.

A Partner, Not Just a Supplier

After three decades in export manufacturing, we’ve learned that the strongest partnerships come from listening first. When a brand brings us a design idea, our team doesn’t just quote it — we look for ways to improve the mold, adjust the material, or refine the process to reduce cost without sacrificing the features that make the product work.

That’s the philosophy behind everything we build: Quality Without Compromise, Engineering Agility, Supply Chain Transparency, and Customer-Centric Innovation.
